CDA to Fast-Track Development of Long-Delayed Islamabad Sectors

CDA Pushes to Fast-Track Long-Delayed Development Projects in Islamabad

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is under mounting pressure to accelerate stalled development projects in Islamabad, particularly in Sector E-12, where allottees have been waiting for over 30 years to receive possession of their plots.

During a recent high-level meeting, CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa directed the engineering wing to speed up work in key sectors, including C-14 and I-12, aiming for completion within two months.

🏘️ Major Steps Taken to Resolve Delays

  • Tenders for E-12/4: Officials have been instructed to float tenders and begin development work in E-12/4 wherever possession is available.

  • Land Possession: The Deputy Commissioner has been tasked with resolving disputes with locals to secure full land possession.

  • Allotment Letters: CDA plans to issue allotment letters this month for plots where development is already complete.

🔍 Progress in Other Sectors

  • I-12: Around 70% of road, drainage, and sewerage work is complete.

  • C-15: Contractor issues have been resolved.

  • C-16: Development status is under active review.

📢 Public Complaint Offices to Be Set Up

The chairman emphasized maintaining quality standards and ordered the establishment of camp offices in developing sectors to address public concerns efficiently and transparently.
