Hajj 2026 Applications Open: Ministry Announces Key Dates and New Policy Changes
The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has officially opened applications for Hajj 2026, with the collection of dues set to begin on Monday, August 4.
According to ministry spokesperson Muhammad Umar Butt, applicants can submit their forms through designated banks or via the official online portal. The registration process will follow a “first-come, first-served” basis for those already registered. These individuals must submit their first installment between August 4 and August 9.
New Applicants and Seat Availability
New applicants will be allowed to register from August 11 to August 16, subject to seat availability. However, the collection of Hajj dues will stop immediately once all seats are filled, the spokesperson emphasized.
Hajj 2026 Package and Payment Details
The estimated cost for the Hajj 2026 package is between Rs 1.15 million and Rs 1.25 million, inclusive of the mandatory Dam-e-Shukr (sacrificial offering). The second installment will be collected starting November 1, giving pilgrims ample time to manage their payments in phases.
Major Policy Updates
In a significant policy update, the ministry has removed previous age restrictions and lifted the ban on performing Hajj multiple times, making the pilgrimage more accessible for a broader group of individuals.
However, children born after March 1, 2014, will not be eligible to apply for Hajj 2026, as per official guidelines.
Final Reminder
The ministry has urged all interested pilgrims to complete their application procedures within the announced timeframes to ensure they secure a spot for the upcoming pilgrimage.
