Fake Army Officer Arrested for Attempting to Influence Daska Land Dispute
The Punjab Police in Daska have apprehended a man accused of impersonating a Pakistan Army colonel in an attempt to interfere in an official land dispute decision.
The suspect reportedly contacted Assistant Commissioner (AC) Sadia Jaffer by phone, falsely introducing himself as a serving military officer. He then attempted to pressure the AC into making a favorable decision in a property matter. The individual also sent follow-up messages to reinforce his false claims and push for intervention.
However, AC Sadia Jaffer grew suspicious due to several grammatical errors and inconsistencies in the communication. Her doubts intensified when the caller mentioned that his “representative” would visit her office.
Taking swift action, the AC informed the DSP City Daska and requested an immediate investigation. Authorities traced the phone number and location, leading to the suspect’s arrest.
The individual is now facing legal charges related to impersonation, fraud, and obstructing official duties. The case highlights the importance of verification and the swift response by law enforcement to uphold rule of law in administrative matters.
