India delivered a dominant performance in the 2026 Women’s Hockey Junior Asia Cup, defeating Pakistan 19-0 in the quarterfinal at Mogi, China.

The Indian junior women’s team took control of the game from the opening minutes and maintained pressure throughout the match. Puja Sahoo opened the scoring in the seventh minute, setting the tone for a one-sided contest.

India continued to attack and scored 10 goals before halftime. The team added another nine goals in the remaining quarters to complete a convincing 19-0 victory.

Pooja Malik was among India’s leading scorers, completing a hat-trick. Roshni Aind, Sanika Chandrakant Mane, Madhu Sidar and Supriya also made significant contributions, with each player scoring twice.

Pakistan struggled to contain India’s attacking moves as the defending champions consistently created scoring opportunities and kept control of possession.

The victory sends India into the semifinals of the Junior Women’s Asia Cup and keeps their hopes of winning a third consecutive title alive. India won the previous two editions of the competition in 2023 and 2024.

India will now await the outcome of the quarterfinal between South Korea and Malaysia. The winner of that match will face India in the semifinal.

The result also underlines India’s strong attacking form in the tournament after their earlier 7-0 victory over Japan in the competition.
