USA Wins WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup 2025, Defeats Japan in Final
Team USA has once again claimed the title at the WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup 2025, defeating Japan 7-1 in the final held at the Pacific International Baseball Stadiums and Training Centre in Tainan, Taiwan (TPE). This marks USA’s third consecutive championship win and sixth overall title in this prestigious youth tournament.
Ranked World No. 3, the USA maintained their perfect record in the finals, having never lost a U-12 World Cup final game. The defending champions extended their dominance, while World No. 1 Japan settled for silver. Meanwhile, Korea secured bronze with a historic victory over Chinese Taipei, earning their first medal in this age category.

Japan opened the scoring in the top of the first inning, but USA responded strongly. In the bottom of the inning, Jack Carson delivered a crucial two-RBI double, giving Team USA a lead they would never surrender.
“It felt great. It got us on the scoreboard and started the whole rally,” Carson said after the game. “It’s all about the team. Playing for your country is an amazing experience.”
USA added four more runs in the fourth and fifth innings, sealing a comfortable 7-1 victory. Barret Schell closed the game with a flawless sixth inning.
Manager Bryan Madsen praised his team’s all-around performance.
“It may have looked easy, but Japan is a great team,” said Madsen. “Our players peaked at the right time. The credit goes to them and our coaching staff.”
