EuroBasket 2025 Warm-Up: Jokic Shines in Serbia Return, Greece Wins Without Giannis

As part of their preparations for the upcoming EuroBasket 2025, both Serbia and Greece started their friendly matches on a high note. Nikola Jokic delivered a dominant performance in his return to the Serbian national team, while Greece secured a solid win without Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Jokic Leads Serbia to Two Straight Wins

Serbia played back-to-back closed-door games, defeating Bosnia and Herzegovina 126–89, followed by a 79–67 win over Poland. While official statistics were not released due to the private nature of the matches, some figures from the Poland game were leaked.

In his first national team appearance since winning bronze at the Tokyo Olympics, Nikola Jokic was in top form, posting an impressive 20 points, 19 rebounds, and 9 assists. Filip Petrusev also contributed 20 points, while Tristan Vukcevic of the Washington Wizards added 14.

Greece Starts Strong Without Giannis

Meanwhile, Greece opened their warm-up campaign with a 74–60 victory over Belgium in Athens, despite the absence of their star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Dinos Mitoglou, standout player for Panathinaikos, led the scoring with 18 points, while Thanasis Antetokounmpo made his return to the national team after recovering from an Achilles tendon injury. He added six points in 12 minutes on the court, marking his first appearance in over a year.
