The West Indies secured a thrilling five-wicket victory over Pakistan on Sunday, with standout performances from Roston Chase and Justin Greaves helping to level the one-day international (ODI) series.
In a rain-affected match at Tarouba, Chase contributed a crucial 49 runs, while Greaves remained unbeaten on 26, showcasing an exciting mix of boundaries and sixes as they guided the hosts to their target.
Earlier, the West Indies overcame a shaky start thanks to Sherfane Rutherford’s quickfire 45 off 33 balls, which put the home team back in control of the chase.
Chase sealed the win by driving a delivery from Hasan Ali through cover for four runs, celebrating with a pumped fist.
“I’m happy with the win. We had to come in and level the series, so very pleased,” said Chase, who earned the Man of the Match award.
The series will be decided in the third and final ODI, scheduled at the same venue on Tuesday.
