Registration Extended for Private Hajj Scheme Pilgrims Left Out Last Year

Ministry Extends Registration Deadline for Private Hajj Scheme Pilgrims

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced an extension in registration for private Hajj scheme pilgrims who were unable to perform the pilgrimage last year due to various circumstances, including the devastating floods.

Extended Deadline for Registration

According to ministry sources, the registration process is currently active on the official Hajj portal. While the initial deadline was set for September 8, the ministry has now extended the period to provide an additional opportunity for applicants.

Over 21,000 Pilgrims Registered

So far, around 21,000 pilgrims have successfully completed their registration. Officials encouraged those who missed last year’s chance to avail what they termed the final opportunity to register.

Important Clarifications
  • Private Hajj operators are permitted to accept applications under the leftover quota.

  • Pilgrims who deposited money last year but could not perform Hajj can proceed without paying additional charges.

  • Those who withdrew their deposits earlier will be required to submit new applications.

The ministry reiterated its commitment to ensuring that last year’s left-out applicants are given a fair chance to perform Hajj under the private scheme quota.
