The Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP) cricket talent hunt, powered by Lahore Qalandars, continued its exciting journey across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with consecutive trials held in Kohat,Abbottabad, and Peshawar.

The trials turned into a true festival of cricket, as thousands of boys and girls arrived with dreams of representing Pakistan. From fast bowlers to young batting prodigies, participants showcased remarkable discipline, determination, and skill, reflecting the province’s strong cricketing culture.

A Platform for Future Stars

With Lahore Qalandars’ professional setup and technical expertise, the PMYP trials have become a gateway for youth to turn raw passion into professional opportunities. The structured system ensures that emerging talent is identified, polished, and given pathways to the highest levels of cricket.

Atif Rana Praises Leadership and Youth

Lahore Qalandars CEO Atif Rana expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, PMYP Chairman Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, and the Higher Education Commission (HEC) for backing this landmark initiative.

“This entire journey is only possible because of the tremendous support of our Prime Minister, PMYP Chairman Rana Mashhood, and HEC. Their commitment to youth and women’s cricket is truly commendable. I also want to thank the youth of Pakistan, whose passion has turned these trials into a festival of hope. The future of Pakistan cricket is in safe hands,” said Atif Rana.

Young participants hailed the initiative as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, thanking PMYP and Lahore Qalandars for providing such a massive stage to display their talent in front of seasoned professionals. Many cricketers expressed confidence that this chance would open doors to national and international cricket.

What’s Next?

The overwhelming response in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has strengthened the vision of PMYP–Qalandars collaboration. The trials will now head to Swat, Mardan, Muzaffarabad, and Gilgit, where even greater excitement and participation are expected.
