Latest ICC World Test Championship 2025–27 Points Table: India Sweep West Indies, Move Up the Rankings
October 14, 2025
India have strengthened their standing in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025–27 after a comprehensive 2–0 series win against the West Indies in Delhi. The victory pushes India to third place on the latest WTC points table, as they continue their pursuit of a spot in the 2027 final.
India Dominate the West Indies
Coming into the Delhi Test with momentum from a dominant win in Ahmedabad, Shubman Gill’s side once again showcased their class.
Yashasvi Jaiswal played another superb knock, scoring 175 in the first innings, while captain Shubman Gill remained unbeaten on 129 as India declared at 518/5. The West Indies were bowled out for 248 in reply, prompting India to enforce the follow-on.
Despite a fighting century from John Campbell (115) and Shai Hope (103) in the second innings, the visitors managed only 390 runs, setting India a modest target of 121 — which they chased down comfortably to seal the series 2–0.
The win lifted India’s points percentage to 61.90%, with four wins, two losses, and one draw in seven matches so far. West Indies, meanwhile, continue to search for their first win of the WTC cycle after five consecutive losses.
