Mohammad Haris Joins Guyana Amazon Warriors for Global Super League 2026

Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Haris has been selected in the Guyana Amazon Warriors squad for the upcoming third edition of the Global Super League (GSL) 2026, scheduled to take place in Guyana from July 23 to August 1.

Haris is the only Pakistani player included in the franchise squad for the tournament.

Strong International Squad

The Guyana Amazon Warriors will be led by experienced South African spinner Imran Tahir, who will captain the side as they aim to defend their title.

The squad also includes several international players such as Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi and New Zealand’s Glenn Phillips, along with a strong West Indies core featuring Shimron Hetmyer, Romario Shepherd, Gudakesh Motie, and Johnson Charles.

Tournament Overview

The Global Super League 2026 will feature five teams, including Lahore Qalandars, Perth Scorchers, Desert Vipers, San Francisco Unicorns, and Guyana Amazon Warriors.

The tournament format will see each team playing league matches, with the top-ranked team advancing directly to the final. The second and third-placed teams will compete in a qualifier to decide the second finalist.

Lahore Qalandars Fixtures

Lahore Qalandars will begin their campaign on July 23 against Perth Scorchers, followed by matches against Desert Vipers on July 24, Guyana Amazon Warriors on July 26, and San Francisco Unicorns on July 29.

The final of the tournament is scheduled for August 1.

Previous Winners

The inaugural GSL title was won by Rangpur Riders in 2024, while Guyana Amazon Warriors lifted the trophy in 2025 after defeating the Riders in the final.
