The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has announced the appointment of Adeel Rizki as its new Technical Director, with his tenure set to begin on July 1, 2026.

Rizki previously served as head coach of the Pakistan Women’s National Football Team and most recently worked as assistant coach to Nolberto Solano during Pakistan’s successful campaign at the Diamond Jubilee International Football Tournament in the Maldives.

Holding a UEFA A License, Rizki becomes the first person to serve as the PFF’s Technical Director since 2019.

In his new role, he will oversee the federation’s long-term technical development strategy, focusing on player development, grassroots football, youth programs, women’s football, coach education, and the overall improvement of Pakistan’s football structure.

He will also advise the PFF Executive Committee on technical and coaching matters while helping establish a unified development pathway across all levels of the game.

PFF President Syed Mohsen Gilani welcomed the appointment, describing technical development as one of the federation’s top priorities. He expressed confidence that Rizki’s experience would help strengthen football development and support the long-term growth of the sport in Pakistan.

Speaking after his appointment, Rizki thanked the federation’s leadership for placing their trust in him and described the new role as a significant responsibility.

He reflected on his time as head coach of the women’s national team, saying the experience allowed him to witness encouraging progress in women’s football since 2022. He also noted that he had served as a member of the PFF Congress since 2024.

To focus fully on his new responsibilities, Rizki confirmed that he will step away from his previous coaching and Congress roles.

Looking ahead, he said his priorities include creating a clear technical vision for Pakistani football, strengthening coach education programs, improving player development pathways, introducing modern football methodologies, and building sustainable structures that can support long-term success.

Rizki also emphasized the importance of cooperation among clubs, academies, coaches, players, regional associations, and federation officials to help move Pakistan football forward and create more opportunities for future generations.
