Atlas Honda Hints at Launching 250cc and 500cc Motorcycles in Pakistan

Atlas Honda has indicated that it may expand its motorcycle lineup in Pakistan by introducing 250cc and 500cc models, as demand for higher-displacement motorcycles continues to increase.

The update was shared during the company’s MY26 corporate briefing with investors, where management discussed market trends, production plans, and future growth opportunities.

According to the company, the growing popularity of premium motorcycles has encouraged Atlas Honda to explore the possibility of entering the larger-engine motorcycle segment. Management noted that improving consumer purchasing power, supported in part by overseas remittances, has contributed to rising demand for motorcycles with higher engine capacities.

Production Capacity Expansion

Atlas Honda also announced that it is expanding its manufacturing capacity to meet increasing demand.

The company’s current annual production capacity of 1.65 million motorcycles is expected to increase to 2 million units per year once the ongoing expansion project is completed by December 2026.

The expansion project is expected to involve an investment of approximately Rs. 5–6 billion.

Company officials said production is currently running above the existing rated capacity through overtime operations and support from its network of vendors.

Motorcycle Market Outlook

During the briefing, Atlas Honda stated that Pakistan’s overall two-wheeler market has recovered to around 2.3 million units. The company also observed that motorcycles with engine capacities above 100cc are gaining a larger share of the market, reflecting changing consumer preferences.

Meanwhile, sales of Chinese motorcycle brands have declined compared to previous peak levels, according to the company’s assessment.

Electric Vehicle Plans

Atlas Honda said it does not currently plan any major additional investment in electric motorcycle production, adding that its existing manufacturing facilities are sufficient to meet expected demand in the near term.

The company also noted that it has not increased motorcycle prices over the past three years, except for adjustments related to government taxes and levies. Management expressed optimism that improving agricultural incomes and stable market conditions will continue to support motorcycle sales across Pakistan.
