Mardy Fish Takes Commanding Lead at American Century Celebrity Golf Championship

Former tennis star Mardy Fish moved into the lead at the American Century Championship on Saturday, putting himself in a strong position to win the celebrity golf tournament for the third time.

Fish produced an impressive performance at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course, earning 25 points during the second round under the tournament’s modified Stableford scoring format. His total of 52 points gives him a four-point advantage heading into the final round.

Defending champion Joe Pavelski sits in second place after collecting 19 points on Saturday. The former NHL standout had led the tournament after the opening round but now trails Fish entering the final day of competition.

LPGA legend Annika Sorenstam remains in contention in third place with 47 points following another consistent round.

Meanwhile, NBA superstar Stephen Curry is fourth with 41 points. Curry, who won the American Century Championship in 2023, will look to make up ground during the final round.

The annual American Century Championship brings together athletes and celebrities from a variety of sports and entertainment backgrounds, making it one of the most popular celebrity golf events on the calendar. With one round remaining, Fish holds the advantage but faces strong competition from several accomplished stars.
