PMD Predicts Three Days of Light Rain and Drizzle in Karachi

KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast light rain and drizzle in Karachi over the next three days as moisture from the Arabian Sea continues to influence weather conditions across the region.

According to the PMD’s Early Warning Centre, the city is also expected to experience stronger-than-usual winds from Monday through Wednesday, bringing relatively pleasant weather to some areas.

Temperature and Humidity Forecast

The Met Office said Karachi’s minimum temperature is expected to remain between 28°C and 30°C, while daytime temperatures are likely to range from 33°C to 35°C.

Humidity levels are forecast to stay high, with morning humidity expected between 70% and 80%, gradually decreasing to around 55% to 65% during the evening.

Weather Systems Affecting Pakistan

The PMD said moisture-laden winds from the Arabian Sea are influencing weather patterns across upper and central parts of Pakistan. At the same time, a westerly weather system is affecting the country’s northern regions.

These weather systems are expected to bring varying conditions, including rainfall in several areas and humid weather across much of Sindh.

Rain Expected in Several Sindh Districts

While hot and humid conditions are likely to continue in many parts of Sindh, the PMD has forecast the possibility of dust storms, thunderstorms, and rain in several districts, including:

  • Dadu
  • Qambar Shahdadkot
  • Jacobabad
  • Larkana
  • Shikarpur
  • Kashmore
  • Sukkur
  • Ghotki
  • Khairpur
  • Naushahro Feroze
  • Shaheed Benazirabad
  • Sanghar

Karachi Weather Outlook

For Karachi and other coastal areas of Sindh, the PMD expects partly cloudy skies with occasional strong winds. Isolated spells of light rain or drizzle may occur over the next few days.

Residents are advised to stay updated with official weather forecasts, especially if they plan to travel or participate in outdoor activities during the forecast period.
