Germany Crowned U-12 Baseball European Champions After Victory Over Czechia

Évry-Courcouronnes, France: Germany claimed the U-12 Baseball European Championship title after defeating Czechia 6-4 in the tournament final at Pharaons Field, securing its fifth championship overall and fourth title in the last five editions.
With their strong performances throughout the competition, Germany and Czechia also qualified to represent Europe at the WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup 2027.
Schumacher and Leone Shine for Germany
Germany’s victory was powered by standout offensive performances from Milos Schumacher and Nico Leone.
Schumacher finished 3-for-3, hitting a home run and driving in two runs, while Leone went 2-for-2 with a home run and two RBIs. Together, the pair accounted for five of Germany’s seven hits in the championship game.
Strong Pitching Seals the Title
Starting pitcher Azuma Awokou earned the win after allowing four runs on six hits across 5.1 innings. Jacob Kraus recorded the final two outs to secure the save and complete Germany’s championship victory.
Bronze Medal Game Cancelled Due to Heat
The bronze medal game between the Netherlands and Italy was cancelled because of extreme weather conditions. As a result, both teams officially shared third place in the tournament standings.
Tournament History
The U-12 Baseball European Championship has been held annually since 1992. Before this year’s event, Czechia and Italy jointly held the record for the most championship titles, with 11 each.
Germany’s latest triumph further strengthens its position as one of Europe’s leading youth baseball nations.
