Trump’s Approval Rating Declines in New Poll
A new national survey indicates that US President Donald Trump’s approval rating has declined, with a majority of respondents expressing dissatisfaction with his performance in office.
The poll, conducted by The Economist in partnership with YouGov, surveyed 1,616 adults between July 10 and July 13. According to the results, 59% of respondents said they disapprove of Trump’s job performance, while 37% said they approve. The survey has a margin of error of ±3.3 percentage points.
The findings also suggest that 54% of those surveyed believe the United States’ standing on the global stage has weakened since Trump returned to office in 2025.
The survey further explored public opinion on US foreign policy, particularly regarding the ongoing tensions involving Iran. A majority of respondents said they were dissatisfied with the administration’s handling of the situation, while 79% believed US military involvement with Iran could continue for an extended period.
The latest poll comes as tensions in the Middle East remain elevated, with recent developments drawing increased public attention to US foreign policy. According to the survey, the overall level of public disapproval has remained largely unchanged in recent weeks.
