Vaccination Certificate Required for Hajj and Umrah Travelers From Karachi
Passengers travelling from Jinnah International Airport, Karachi for Hajj and Umrah will be required to present a NADRA-integrated vaccination certificate before departure, according to a new directive issued by the Airport Health Department, Border Health Services Pakistan.
The requirement will come into effect on September 14, 2026, and travelers will need to complete the required vaccination process before boarding their flights.
Vaccinations Required for Travelers
Under the new instructions, international passengers travelling for Hajj and Umrah will be required to receive vaccinations against:
- Polio
- Meningitis
- Yellow fever
- Influenza
The Federal Government Civil Dispensary has been designated as the authorized facility for providing vaccinations to international travelers departing for Hajj and Umrah.
NADRA-Integrated Certificate Required
Authorities have made it mandatory for travelers to obtain vaccination documentation through a NADRA-integrated vaccination facility.
From September 14, passengers who do not have the required vaccination proof integrated with NADRA may not be permitted to travel.
Airlines have also been instructed to inform their travel agents about the new requirements and ensure that passengers complete the vaccination formalities before their departure.
Umrah travelers have specifically been advised to obtain their vaccination cards from authorized NADRA-integrated vaccination centers ahead of their journey.
Vaccination Facilities to Be Available at Airport
To facilitate travelers, authorities plan to establish vaccination and registration facilities within the international departure area of Jinnah International Airport.
Passengers who need vaccination or registration services have been advised to arrive at the airport at least six hours before their scheduled departure.
Payment Facility Through e-Sahulat
According to the directive, NADRA’s e-Sahulat service will facilitate payment of the applicable vaccination fees.
Travelers are advised to complete the required vaccination and registration procedures in advance to avoid delays or complications at the airport.
