Sri Lanka U17 to Tour Pakistan for Six-Match Cricket Series in October

Sri Lanka’s Under-17 cricket team is set to visit Pakistan in October for a six-match bilateral series against the Pakistan U17 side, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced.

The tour will include one three-day match and five one-day games, with all fixtures scheduled to take place at the Multan Cricket Stadium from October 9 to 24, 2026.

Sri Lanka U17 Squad to Arrive in Multan on October 5

The Sri Lankan U17 squad is expected to arrive in Multan on October 5. Both teams will then conduct training sessions at the Multan Cricket Stadium from October 6 to 8 ahead of the opening match.

The series will officially begin with the three-day fixture on October 9, giving both teams an opportunity to assess their young players in a longer format before moving to the one-day matches.

The five one-day games will be played on October 15, 17, 19, 21, and 24.

Pakistan U17 Preparing Through Skills Development Camp

Pakistan’s junior players are currently participating in a Skills Development Camp in Faisalabad, which began on July 30 as part of preparations for upcoming international assignments.

The camp is aimed at developing the skills and match readiness of the country’s emerging players ahead of the Sri Lanka series.

The PCB has also been focusing on strengthening its junior cricket structure. Earlier this year, the board organized the National U17 Cup in Faisalabad, where the Rawalpindi U17 Region secured the championship.

The upcoming series against Sri Lanka will provide Pakistan’s young cricketers with valuable international exposure on home soil.
