Punjab Government Schools Introduce Daily Quick Tests for Students

LAHORE: The Punjab government has introduced mandatory daily quick tests for students in government schools as part of efforts to regularly monitor academic performance.

Under the new instructions, students will take a 10-minute test each day. Schools have also been directed to conduct comprehensive assessments on a monthly basis.

Officials have instructed schools to maintain proper records of both daily tests and monthly assessments. Students’ marks from monthly tests and school-based assessments will also be entered into the relevant online portal.

The academic records will be reviewed during school inspections to monitor students’ progress and identify areas where they may require additional support.

Chief Executive Officers of the education authorities have been directed to ensure that schools follow the instructions regarding daily quick tests and monthly assessments.

Officials said the monthly assessments are intended to help identify students’ academic weaknesses and provide a clearer picture of their learning progress.

The assessment registers will also be reviewed during visits by the School Education Secretary as part of the monitoring process.
