APCA Submits Salary and Allowance Proposals Ahead of Federal Budget 2026-27
The All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA) has presented a set of proposals to the government ahead of the Federal Budget 2026-27, seeking revisions to salaries and employee benefits for public-sector workers.
According to the association, the proposals include a 200 percent increase in basic salaries and a substantial enhancement in house rent, medical, and other allowances. APCA has submitted a six-point charter of demands to the relevant authorities for consideration during the budget process.
The association stated that rising inflation and increasing living expenses have affected the financial well-being of government employees, prompting calls for a review of existing pay structures and benefits.
APCA representatives have also urged policymakers to reassess plans related to the privatization of public-sector institutions, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding employees’ interests.
To highlight its proposals, the association has announced a gathering in Islamabad on June 2 and has invited government employees from different parts of the country to participate.
Meanwhile, authorities in the federal capital have made arrangements to manage traffic and security during the planned event.
The government has not yet announced its final decisions regarding salary revisions and employee benefits, which are expected to be outlined in the upcoming federal budget.
