Aryna Sabalenka and Jannik Sinner Headline US Open 2026 Entry List
The United States Tennis Association (USTA) has announced the official direct entry lists for the 2026 US Open, with Aryna Sabalenka and Jannik Sinner leading the women’s and men’s fields for the season’s final Grand Slam tournament.
The tournament is scheduled to begin next month at Flushing Meadows, New York.
Sabalenka Aims for Third Consecutive Title
World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka enters the tournament as the two-time defending US Open champion.
She will be aiming to become the first woman since Serena Williams (2012–2014) to win three consecutive US Open singles titles.
Sinner Returns as Top Seed
Men’s World No. 1 Jannik Sinner will lead the men’s draw after winning the 2026 Wimbledon Championships, where he captured another Grand Slam title.
Sinner will be looking to reclaim the US Open crown after finishing runner-up in last year’s final.
Alcaraz Included in Entry List
Carlos Alcaraz has also been included in the tournament entry list.
The Spanish star, who has been recovering from a wrist injury, is expected to return during the North American hard-court season ahead of the US Open.
Entry Cut-Off Rankings
According to the USTA, the direct acceptance cut-off rankings were:
- Women’s Singles: World No. 102
- Men’s Singles: World No. 101
The lists were based on the official WTA and ATP rankings released on 20 July 2026.
Strong American Representation
The United States has the largest number of direct entrants, with:
- 14 women
- 14 men
earning automatic qualification for the main draw.
Several players also entered the tournament using protected rankings, allowing them to compete after returning from injury.
The US Open is the final Grand Slam event of the tennis calendar and is expected to feature many of the world’s highest-ranked players as they compete for one of the sport’s most prestigious titles.
