FESCO Warns Public Against Fake Social Media Accounts Using Its Name and Logo

The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) has issued a public warning regarding fake and unauthorized social media accounts operating under its name and branding. The company has stated that strict legal action will be taken against individuals misusing its identity, logo, and official information.

According to a FESCO spokesperson, several unauthorized accounts and pages have been identified across social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp. These accounts are reportedly using FESCO’s name and logo without permission.

The spokesperson said these fake accounts are being used for personal promotion and other misleading activities, which is damaging the company’s reputation and credibility.

The company clarified that no individual, employee, or private organization has been authorized to create or manage any official or unofficial social media page, channel, or group using FESCO’s name, logo, or official details.

Consumers have been strongly advised not to trust or act upon any information shared through unofficial sources. FESCO emphasized that such accounts do not represent the organization and should be avoided.

The public has also been urged to remain cautious while engaging on social media and to avoid sharing sensitive personal information such as CNIC numbers, bank details, OTPs, or electricity bill information with unknown or unverified accounts. Citizens have also been warned against making any payments through unofficial channels.

FESCO further stated that sharing internal documents, official records, or sensitive company information on social media without authorization is a violation of company rules and applicable regulations.

The administration has taken serious notice of the issue and has directed individuals involved in misuse of the company’s identity to immediately remove such fake pages and accounts.

The spokesperson warned that anyone found involved in impersonation, misleading content, or unauthorized use of FESCO’s name and information will face strict legal action under Pakistani law.

Consumers are encouraged to rely only on FESCO’s verified and officially managed communication channels for updates and announcements. The utility’s official social media accounts are operated under authorized management, and users are advised to verify information before taking any action.
