The federal government has revised the schedule for the upcoming FY2026-27 budget and has postponed its presentation, which was earlier expected on June 5.
According to an official notification, the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting scheduled for June 3 has also been delayed.
A new date for the federal budget announcement has not yet been finalized. However, it is expected that the budget may now be presented either on June 8 or June 12.
The notification further stated that the revised date for the NEC meeting will be shared later.
The change in schedule has pushed back preparations for one of the country’s most important financial announcements.
