Kenya Announces Strong Athletics Team for Commonwealth Games 2026

Kenya has named a 52-member athletics squad for the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, featuring some of its top global stars.

World champions Lilian Odira and Faith Cherotich are among the leading names selected for the team, while Commonwealth 100m champion Ferdinand Omanyala will aim to defend his title in the sprint event.

The squad includes athletes competing across a wide range of events including sprints, middle and long-distance races, hurdles, steeplechase, and field events.

Experienced athletes such as Julius Yego are also part of the team, alongside several rising stars looking to make their mark on the international stage.
