Sindh E-Sports Championship 2026 Launched With Rs. 3 Million Prize Pool

The Sindh government has launched the Sindh E-Sports Championship 2026, with more than 1,000 teams expected to compete for a total prize pool of Rs. 3 million.
The second edition of the championship was officially inaugurated at a ceremony held at Liaquat Library on Monday.

The tournament will feature several well-known gaming titles, including:
- PUBG Mobile
- Tekken 8
- FC 27
The qualifying rounds will be organized at different universities, giving players from across the province an opportunity to participate.
The semi-finals are scheduled to take place at major shopping malls in Karachi, while the grand final will be held at Expo Centre Karachi in the first week of October.
Officials Attend Opening Ceremony
Sindh Local Government Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah and Sindh Sports Secretary Munawar Ali Mahesar attended the opening ceremony as chief guests.
The event also recognized athletes and coaches who have represented Sindh successfully at national-level competitions.
Shields were presented to 24 boxers, ju-jitsu athletes and coaches in recognition of their performances.
Focus on Young Talent
Speaking at the ceremony, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said Sindh’s athletes have achieved recognition at national and international levels.
He said recognizing their achievements could encourage more young people to participate in sports and develop their skills.
The minister also highlighted the E-Sports Championship as a platform for young people to demonstrate their abilities under the “The Next Era of Champions” initiative.
E-Sports and Technology Opportunities
The provincial government said it wants to create opportunities for young people in both traditional sports and emerging fields such as technology and e-sports.
Officials also emphasized the importance of identifying promising talent at the grassroots level and providing young people with opportunities to develop their abilities.
With more than 1,000 teams, multiple gaming titles and a Rs. 3 million prize pool, the Sindh E-Sports Championship 2026 is expected to attract significant interest from Pakistan’s growing gaming community.
