USA Dominates Week Two of Volleyball Nations League 2026
The United States delivered a perfect performance in Week Two of the Women’s Volleyball Nations League (VNL) 2026, winning all four matches and collecting maximum points.
The American team secured straight-set victories against the Dominican Republic, Czechia, and world No. 1 Italy. They also defeated Serbia in four sets to finish the week with a strong 7–1 record and 20 points, moving to the top of the standings.
Strong Performances Across Teams
USA’s consistent results helped them edge ahead of Brazil on set ratio and also improved their position in the FIVB World Rankings, climbing to fourth place.
Defending champions Italy won three of their four matches, including an important straight-set win over Japan, and currently sit third in the standings.
Türkiye Impress at Home
Türkiye also enjoyed a successful week on home soil in Ankara, winning all four matches. However, two of their victories came through five-set battles, which cost them valuable ranking points.
Led by standout performances from Melissa Vargas, Türkiye defeated Belgium and France in straight sets and also overcame Germany and China in dramatic comeback wins in front of large home crowds.
Standings Update
After Week Two, USA leads the table, followed closely by Brazil and Italy, while Japan and Serbia remain in the top half of the standings.
The competition continues to intensify as teams battle for qualification to the final stage of the tournament.
