Lahore Ring Road to Feature Service Areas at Six Locations

LAHORE — The Lahore Ring Road Authority (LRRA) has announced plans to develop service areas at six locations along the Lahore Ring Road and has invited applications from interested firms for their construction and operation.

According to the authority, approximately 10 kanals of land has been allocated for each service area at locations including Bahria Town, DHA, Haloki, and Shafiqpura.

Facilities for Commuters

The planned service areas are expected to include food courts, fuel stations, parking spaces, rest areas, and other passenger facilities to improve convenience for travellers using the ring road.

Authorities said the service areas will be leased to successful operators for a period of 20 years, with the possibility of extension for an additional 25 years.

Transparent Bidding Process

The LRRA has invited applications from qualified companies and operators, with selection to be made through a transparent competitive bidding process. The deadline for submission of applications has been set for 25 June 2026.

Officials said the project aims to enhance facilities for road users while also generating additional revenue for the Lahore Ring Road system.
