Media Accreditation Open for 2025 WBSC U-18 Women’s Softball World Cup Finals in Oklahoma City

The WBSC U-18 Women’s Softball World Cup Finals 2025 are heading to Oklahoma City from 27 September to 1 October, and media accreditation is now open. Journalists, photographers, and broadcasters from around the world are invited to apply via the official WBSC Media Accreditation Portal at https://my.wbsc.org. The deadline to register is 20 September 2025.

How to Apply:

To receive official media credentials:

  • Visit my.wbsc.org and click on MEDIA ACCREDITATIONS.

  • Complete the online form, including a headshot.

  • After submission, you’ll get an automated confirmation email.

  • Those covering the event remotely should email media@wbsc.org for further instructions.

Once your accreditation status changes, you’ll receive another notification. Media can also check the status of their applications after 20 September by clicking “SEARCH FOR YOUR ACCREDITATION” on the WBSC site and entering their full name and email.

Key Media Access Information:

  • Non-Rights Holding (NRH) media may attend games, training sessions, and ceremonies, but cannot broadcast live game footage.

  • Credential categories include Press, Photographer, Radio/TV, and Team Media.

  • Media vests provided by WBSC must be worn by photographers and NRH TV crews for field access.

A pre-tournament press conference will also be held. Details will be released closer to the event.


About the Tournament:

This year’s U-18 Women’s Softball World Cup Finals mark the debut of the two-stage competition format, with earlier group rounds hosted in Brazil, China, and the USA in 2024.

Qualified Teams:

  • Group A: USA (World No. 1), Canada (No. 6), China (No. 12), Chinese Taipei (No. 4)

  • Group B: Japan (No. 2), Czechia (No. 8), Mexico (No. 9), Puerto Rico (No. 3)

Tournament Schedule:

  • Opening Round: 27–28 September

  • Super Round: 29–30 September

  • Championship Game: 1 October (2 October is reserved as a rain date)

A total of 22 exciting matchups will be played at Devon Park, which is also set to host softball during the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games
