ROCKFORD, Illinois — Media accreditation is now open for Group Rockford of the WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup 2026, which will be hosted by the International Women’s Baseball Center (IWBC) at Rivets Stadium in Rockford, USA, from 22 to 26 July.
Media professionals who wish to cover the event can submit their accreditation applications until Friday, 17 July.
The application process is available through the official WBSC Media Accreditation platform at https://my.wbsc.org. Applicants are required to complete an online form and upload a headshot photo. After submission, an automatic confirmation email will be sent, followed by a status update regarding the application.
Applicants can later check the status of their request by visiting the same platform and using the “Search for your accreditation” option.
Media covering the event remotely are advised to contact the WBSC Media Department at media@wbsc.org for further information.
The WBSC will also provide detailed interview and media guidelines to accredited representatives before the tournament begins.
Media Access Guidelines
Accreditation will be issued to different categories of media, including press, photographers, radio, television, and team media. Access will vary depending on the category.
Only official rights holders are permitted to distribute match footage, including audio and video content, from WBSC events. Non-rights-holding media will have access to training sessions, matches, and opening and closing ceremonies but will be subject to specific restrictions.
