Over 1,500 Electric Fans Reported Missing from Multan Hospital Store
The administration of Nishtar Hospital Multan has confirmed the disappearance of more than 1,500 electric fans from its storage facility, prompting an official request for police investigation.
According to details, hospital security officials stated in a complaint submitted to the Cantonment Police Station that around 2,100 electric fans were originally stored in the hospital’s basement for institutional use. However, a routine inspection later revealed that more than 1,500 fans were missing.
Hospital authorities had initially denied reports of missing equipment, but later acknowledged the loss and formally requested the registration of a criminal case to investigate the matter.
Officials suspect that individuals with internal access or knowledge of the storage system may have been involved, given the scale of the disappearance and the controlled nature of the facility.
Law enforcement has been urged to investigate the incident thoroughly, identify those responsible, and recover the missing property. The case has also renewed concerns about inventory management and security protocols in public healthcare institutions.
