He noted that the United States is Pakistan’s largest single-country export destination and said bilateral goods trade reached approximately $9.4 billion during the last fiscal year.

According to Dar, both countries have opportunities to expand cooperation by building on the strengths of their respective economies.

  • Critical Minerals
  • Agriculture

Dar also pointed to the role of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) in providing streamlined support for investors through a one-window facilitation system.

US Companies Continue Operating in Pakistan

Dar noted that more than 80 American companies currently operate in Pakistan, describing their presence as a sign of continued business interest in the country’s market and long-term economic potential.

He added that Pakistan is working to simplify regulatory procedures, improve transparency, and create conditions that support new business investments.

Delegation Discusses Bilateral Cooperation

The visiting delegation included US Congress members Ryan Zinke and Michael Baumgartner, who discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation in trade, investment, energy, technology, and other sectors.

According to Pakistan’s Foreign Office, both sides also exchanged views on regional and international developments and emphasized the importance of continued parliamentary engagement to strengthen bilateral relations.
