Paris Olympics: Two Pakistan athletes to compete tomorrow

Two Pakistani athletes are set to compete in the ongoing 2024 Paris Olympics tomorrow. Kishmala Talat will showcase her skills in shooting, while Faiqa Riaz will compete in athletics.

**Kishmala Talat – Shooting:**

– Kishmala Talat will participate in the 25-meter pistol event.
– The competition begins at 12:00 PM Pakistani time.
– Kishmala will take her shots in Relay 2, with the precision round starting at 1:30 PM and the rapid-fire round at 4:15 PM.
– Out of 40 shooters, the top 8 will advance to the finals.

**Faiqa Riaz – Athletics:**

– Faiqa Riaz will compete in the preliminary round of the women’s 100-meter race, starting at 1:15 PM.
– She is placed in Heat 2 of the preliminary round.
– The top three athletes from each of the four heats will qualify for the first round, along with the five athletes with the next best timings.

**Previous Performances:**

– Pakistan’s swimmers, Ahmed Durrani and Jehanara Nabi, and shooter Gulfam Joseph have been eliminated from the Olympics.
– Kishmala Talat did not advance in the women’s and mixed team’s 10-meter air pistol events.

**Upcoming Events:**

– GM Bashir, Pakistan’s third shooter, will compete on August 4.
– Arshad Nadeem, the country’s medal hopeful in javelin throw, will start his event on August 6.
