Petrol and Diesel Prices Increase Again in Pakistan
Pakistan has increased the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) once again, adding further pressure on consumers and businesses.
According to the latest update from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the price of petrol has risen by Rs. 3.40 per litre, reaching Rs. 367.75 per litre. The price of high-speed diesel has increased by Rs. 6.72 per litre to Rs. 392.67 per litre.
The latest increase comes amid a sharp rise in international crude oil prices. Brent crude recently crossed the $100-per-barrel mark following logistical disruptions around the Strait of Hormuz.
Previous Fuel Price Increase
Fuel prices were also raised on Tuesday. Petrol became Rs. 5.58 per litre more expensive, reaching Rs. 364.35 per litre, while diesel increased by Rs. 4.18 per litre to Rs. 385.95 per litre.
With fuel rates being revised frequently, motorists and transport operators are facing continued uncertainty over their operating costs.
