Petrol and Diesel Prices Increased in Pakistan for the Next Week

The Government of Pakistan has announced an increase in the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) following its latest weekly review of petroleum products.

According to the official notification, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs13.18 per litre, taking the new rate to Rs310.71 per litre. Meanwhile, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has been raised by Rs13.80 per litre, bringing the new rate to Rs323.30 per litre.

The revised fuel prices have come into effect and will remain applicable for the next seven days or until the next government review.

New Fuel Prices

  • Petrol: Rs310.71 per litre (up by Rs13.18)
  • High-Speed Diesel (HSD): Rs323.30 per litre (up by Rs13.80)

Factors Behind the Price Increase

The latest adjustment follows fluctuations in international crude oil prices and changing global market conditions, which are considered during Pakistan’s periodic petroleum price review.

Global oil markets have experienced increased volatility in recent weeks, influencing fuel pricing in many countries, including Pakistan.

Previous Fuel Prices

During the previous review, petrol and diesel prices had both been reduced by Rs1.97 per litre. However, the latest revision has reversed that decline, resulting in higher fuel costs for consumers.

The government reviews petroleum prices periodically based on international oil market trends, exchange rate movements, and other relevant economic factors.
