Punjab’s Rs. 7.57 Billion Faisalabad-Chiniot Road Project Enters Final Phase
The Punjab government has announced that work on the Faisalabad-Chiniot-Sargodha Road development project is progressing as planned, with a key section now in its final stage of construction.
During a review meeting, Punjab Minister for Communications and Works Malik Sohaib Ahmad Bharth directed officials to complete the project on schedule while ensuring that all construction work meets the required quality standards.
According to officials, the 24-kilometer stretch from Kamalpur Interchange to Tehsil Chowk, Chiniot has reached the finishing phase. Asphalt paving has been completed across the entire section, while lane markings and median construction are currently in progress.
The project is being developed at an estimated cost of Rs. 7.575 billion. Once completed, it is expected to provide safer, smoother, and more efficient travel between Faisalabad, Chiniot, and Sargodha.
Officials believe the upgraded road will improve regional connectivity, support trade and commercial activities, and contribute to economic development by making transportation more efficient.
The Communications and Works Department reiterated its commitment to completing public infrastructure projects on time as part of the Punjab government’s efforts to expand and modernize the province’s road network.
