Trump Says Planned Iran Strikes Were Called Off Following Diplomatic Discussions

U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Thursday that planned military strikes against Iran were canceled following a series of high-level diplomatic discussions involving several countries across the Middle East and beyond.

In a post shared on Truth Social, Trump said talks had reached the highest levels of Iran’s leadership and that a proposed understanding had received preliminary approval from the parties involved. He added that, based on these developments, he decided to cancel the military action that had reportedly been scheduled for the evening.

According to Trump, the discussions involved multiple countries, including the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Turkey, Pakistan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, and Egypt.

Trump also stated that a naval blockade would remain in place until a formal agreement is finalized. He said details regarding the timing and location of any potential signing ceremony would be announced at a later date.

As of publication, the statements have not been independently verified. No official confirmation has been issued by the White House, Iran, or the other governments mentioned in the post.

The development comes amid ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing regional tensions and promoting stability in the Middle East.
