USA Softball Announces Squad for 2026 WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup Group Stage

USA Softball has unveiled the national team roster that will compete in the 2026 WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup Group Stage, set to take place September 12-16 in Oklahoma City.
The organization also announced the roster for the 2026 USA Softball International Cup, which will be held from July 30 to August 3 at Devon Park in Oklahoma City.
Experienced Squad Selected
The 16-player World Cup roster was chosen by the Women’s National Team Selection Committee and features a blend of experienced international players and rising stars.
Among the selected athletes are Rachel Garcia and Dejah Mulipola, members of the United States team that competed at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
The squad also includes several players who helped the United States win the 2025 World Games title, along with athletes who participated in the 2025 USA Down Under Series.
One of the newest additions to the national team program, Megan Grant, returns to international competition after previous appearances in the Japan All-Star Series.
Coach Confident in Team’s Depth
U.S. Women’s National Team head coach Patty Gasso praised the quality and depth of the selected squad.
She said the team combines experience, talent, and versatility, adding that every player earned their place through strong performances and hard work.
Gasso expressed confidence that the group is well-prepared to compete for success during the World Cup group stage later this year.
USA’s Group Stage Opponents
The United States, currently ranked No. 2 in the world, will compete against:
- Netherlands
- Mexico
- China
- New Zealand
- South Africa
The top teams from the group stage will advance in the tournament as they compete for a place in the WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup Finals.
