Four-Year-Old Girl Seriously Burned in Gujranwala; Family Members Arrested
Police in Gujranwala have arrested four family members after a four-year-old girl suffered severe burn injuries during an alleged ritual carried out in the belief that it would remove supernatural influences.
According to police, the child sustained burns to approximately 50 percent of her body and was initially provided medical care before being transferred to a hospital in Lahore for specialized treatment.
Family Members Taken Into Custody
Authorities said the girl’s mother, two brothers, and one sister were arrested following the incident.
Police registered a case after receiving information about the child’s injuries. Officials stated that some family members initially resisted the arrest before being taken into custody.
