Yamal Inspires Spain to 4-0 Win Over Saudi Arabia in World Cup Group Match

Spain delivered a commanding performance in their FIFA World Cup Group H match, defeating Saudi Arabia 4-0 in Atlanta on Sunday, with Lamine Yamal making a decisive impact on his return from injury.

The 18-year-old forward, starting his first match in two months after recovering from a hamstring injury, opened the scoring early in the game to give Spain a strong start. His goal ended Spain’s wait for a World Cup breakthrough and set the tone for a dominant display.

Mikel Oyarzabal added to Spain’s lead with two quick goals inside the first half-hour, helping the European champions take full control of the match. Spain went into halftime comfortably ahead after a clinical attacking performance.

Yamal was substituted at the break as part of a planned workload management strategy following his return from injury. Despite his early exit, Spain maintained their attacking momentum throughout the match.

In the second half, Spain added a fourth goal when a shot from Marc Cucurella was deflected into the net off Saudi defender Hassan Tambakti following a corner.

Saudi Arabia struggled to create clear scoring opportunities against Spain’s organized defense, while the European side continued to dominate possession and chances.

The result puts Spain at the top of Group H, strengthening their position ahead of their final group-stage fixture against Uruguay.

Saudi Arabia will now look to regroup before their final group match, where they will aim to secure qualification for the knockout stage.
