Leading the charge is Australia, captained by the in-form Pat Cummins, who remain unbeaten at the top. After a dominant 133-run victory over the West Indies, Australia sealed the series 2-0 with a game to spare—continuing their perfect 100% points percentage (PCT) and reaffirming their status as early favourites for the WTC final at Lord’s in 2027.

Meanwhile, India have bounced back in their five-match home series against England. After losing the opening Test, Shubman Gill’s side stormed to a massive 336-run win in the second Test, leveling the series at 1-1 and marking their first victory in this WTC cycle.

  • India and England are tied on both points and PCT, with England marginally ahead on tiebreaks.

  • Bangladesh’s draw against Sri Lanka has helped them stay off the bottom.

So far, Pakistan, New Zealand, and South Africa are yet to start their campaigns. South Africa is currently engaged in a series against Zimbabwe, which does not count toward the WTC standings.

📅 What’s Next?

The coming months will see several new WTC campaigns begin, including Pakistan, who kick off their journey with a home series against South Africa in October 2025.

With a long road ahead to Lord’s 2027, Australia’s early dominance has set the benchmark high, and the race for a top-two finish is already heating up.
