The World Games 2025 Women’s Softball competition got off to an exciting start on Wednesday at the Xindu Better City Softball Arena in Chengdu, China. Four thrilling games are scheduled throughout the day, with fans already treated to some high-scoring action.

Wednesday Results
USA 4 – 0 Chinese Taipei
The defending champions, USA, opened their campaign with a strong shutout victory over Chinese Taipei. Rachel Garcia dazzled on the mound with four hitless innings and four strikeouts. Offensively, Tiare Jennings went 2-for-3 with a home run and two runs, while Janae Jefferson delivered a key two-run single to give the USA an early lead. Ally Carda closed the game with three innings of relief to secure the win.
Canada 11 – 9 Puerto Rico
Canada’s offense exploded for eight runs in the third inning to secure a thrilling victory over Puerto Rico. The two teams combined for 26 hits and 20 runs in a high-energy slugfest.
