NBP, Port Qasim Share Points as Army Dominate Rangers at CNS Hockey Tournament

LAHORE: The 4th Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) All Pakistan Hockey Tournament 2025 delivered another exciting day of action at the National Hockey Stadium, Lahore, where two thrilling matches kept fans entertained with goals, drama, and top-class performances.

Match 1: Port Qasim and NBP in 3-3 Thriller

The day opened with a nail-biting clash between Port Qasim Authority and National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) that ended in a 3-3 draw.

  • Aleem Usman was the star for Port Qasim with a brilliant brace, while Amjad added a third goal.

  • For NBP, Faizan continued his impressive form with two goals, and Aamir netted the equalizer.

Both teams had chances to seal victory, but outstanding defending and goalkeeping kept the scores level. Mazhar Abbas (NBP), with his crucial saves, was named Man of the Match.

Match 2: Army Cruise Past Rangers 5-2

In the second fixture, Pakistan Army showcased their power with a 5-2 victory over Pakistan Rangers, underlining their status as serious title contenders.

  • Army’s goals came from Shahzad, Ahmed Sarwar, Usman, Saaifullah, and Wasim Akram, reflecting a well-rounded team performance.

  • Rangers managed to score through Ammar and Hamid Ali, but could not match the Army’s pace and precision.

Zain Farooq stood out with a commanding midfield display, earning him the Man of the Match award.
