The Hyderabad Kingsmen produced a remarkable comeback to defeat the Multan Sultans by four wickets in a high-scoring encounter of Pakistan Super League (PSL 2026) at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi.

Chasing a challenging target of 214 runs, Hyderabad reached the total with three balls remaining, thanks to a brilliant century and strong support in the final overs.

Early Collapse, Strong Recovery

The chase got off to a poor start as Hyderabad lost early wickets, slipping to 48/3. Key batters including Kusal Perera and Saim Ayub fell cheaply, putting pressure on the middle order.

However, the match turned when Usman Khan came to the crease and played a match-winning innings.

Usman Khan Leads the Charge

Batting at number five, Usman Khan produced a sensational knock of 101 runs off 47 balls, hitting 10 sixes and five fours. He formed a crucial 123-run partnership with captain Marnus Labuschagne, who added a steady 61 runs to stabilize the innings.

Usman reached his century late in the innings and kept Hyderabad firmly in control of the chase.

Late Drama in the Finish

Despite a brief fightback from Multan, including key wickets in the 18th over, Hyderabad held their nerve. Hassan Khan played a quick cameo, scoring 24 runs to guide his team over the line.

Multan’s Strong Batting Display

Earlier, Multan Sultans posted an impressive 213/7 after being put in to bat. Openers provided a solid foundation with a 132-run stand.

Steve Smith scored a brilliant 106 off 50 balls, while Fakhar Zaman added 66 runs to build a strong total.

Despite their strong start, Multan lost momentum in the final overs as Hyderabad’s bowlers struck back with crucial wickets.

Bowling Highlights

For Hyderabad, Akif Javed led the attack with three wickets, while Mohammad Ali, Glenn Maxwell, Hassan Khan, and Hunain Shah contributed with one wicket each.
