Multan Approves Five Official Cattle Markets Ahead of Eid ul Adha

The district administration in Multan has approved five temporary cattle markets across the city and nearby areas in preparation for Eid ul Adha.

According to an official notification issued by Deputy Commissioner Nauman Siddique, cattle markets will be established in Fatima Jinnah Town, Jaiswant Garh, Shujaabad, and Jalalpur Pirwala. Separate arrangements for cattle and camel markets have also been approved at Jaiswant Garh.

In Shujaabad, the temporary cattle market will be set up near the Saleem Shah Petroleum Centre, while the Jalalpur Pirwala market will operate on Multan Road opposite the Virtual University campus.

The district administration has directed all relevant departments to ensure proper cleanliness, security, traffic management, and the availability of essential facilities at the approved markets. Authorities have also been instructed to provide clean drinking water, lighting, drainage, and other basic services for traders and visitors.

Officials have further announced strict action against illegal cattle markets and unauthorized sale points across the district. Assistant commissioners, Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA) teams, and other departments have been directed to take immediate enforcement measures where needed.

Deputy Commissioner Nauman Siddique stated that providing organized, safe, and well-managed cattle markets for citizens is among the administration’s top priorities ahead of Eid ul Adha.
