iPhone 18 Pro Battery Capacity Leak Suggests Small Upgrade

New leaks have revealed possible battery capacities for Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 Pro, indicating a modest increase compared to the previous generation.

According to reports citing well-known technology leaker Digital Chat Station, Apple is reportedly testing different battery configurations for the Chinese and U.S. versions of the iPhone 18 Pro. The variation is said to be related to hardware differences between the two markets.

The China version, which is expected to retain a physical SIM card slot, may feature a battery capacity of approximately 4,056mAh. Meanwhile, the U.S. version, which relies on eSIM technology, could include a slightly larger 4,288mAh battery due to the extra internal space available.

If accurate, the increase in battery capacity would be relatively small compared to the iPhone 17 Pro series. The Chinese model would gain around 68mAh, while the U.S. version would see an increase of about 36mAh.

Reports also suggest that Apple is testing a larger battery for the iPhone 18 Pro Max, potentially reaching the 5,000mAh range. However, these details remain unofficial and have not been confirmed by Apple.

Despite the modest battery increase, overall battery life could still improve significantly. The iPhone 18 Pro is expected to feature Apple’s next-generation A20 Pro chip, reportedly built on TSMC’s advanced 2nm manufacturing process, which may deliver better power efficiency.

The device is also rumored to include Apple’s new C2 modem, which could further enhance battery performance and connectivity.

As with all early leaks, the reported specifications should be treated as unconfirmed until Apple officially announces the iPhone 18 lineup.
