NHA Sets Mid-August Deadline for Completion of Key N-5 Highway Section
The National Highway Authority (NHA) has informed the Sindh High Court (SHC) that rehabilitation work on the Moro to Kotri Kabir section of the National Highway (N-5) is expected to be completed by mid-August.
During court proceedings related to road safety and highway conditions, the bench directed the NHA to ensure that traffic flow on the N-5 remains smooth and uninterrupted while repair work continues.
Court Directives on Road Safety
The Sindh High Court also instructed the Motorway Police to investigate a recent traffic accident on the National Highway in Naushahro Feroze and submit a detailed report at the next hearing.
The case was initiated on the basis of concerns raised over the condition of major road networks, including the N-5 and M-9 Motorway, and their potential link to road accidents.
Progress on Rehabilitation Work
NHA officials told the court that work on the affected highway section is progressing steadily and reaffirmed their commitment to completing the project within the announced timeline.
The authority also assured the court that necessary steps are being taken to minimize disruption to traffic during the ongoing construction and rehabilitation activities.
