Neymar Could Return for Brazil’s Final World Cup Group Match
Brazil may receive a major boost ahead of its final FIFA World Cup 2026 group-stage match, as star forward Neymar is expected to return to action after recovering from injury.
Head coach Carlo Ancelotti has indicated that Neymar could be available for Brazil’s upcoming match against Scotland, scheduled for June 24 in Miami Gardens, Florida.
The experienced forward has missed Brazil’s opening two matches of the tournament due to a calf injury. Despite his absence, Brazil has made a solid start to its campaign, drawing 1-1 with Morocco before securing a convincing 3-0 victory over Haiti.
Brazil currently leads Group C and will look to secure qualification for the knockout stage with a strong performance in its final group fixture.
Neymar’s potential return could provide additional strength and experience to the squad. The forward remains one of Brazil’s most accomplished players and has been a key figure for the national team for more than a decade.
According to Ancelotti, Neymar is continuing his recovery program and is expected to resume team training before the Scotland match.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup marks Neymar’s fourth appearance at football’s biggest tournament, having previously represented Brazil in the 2014, 2018, and 2022 editions.
