PM Shehbaz Sharif and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Expected to Attend Funeral Ceremony in Iran

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari are expected to travel to Iran this week to attend the funeral ceremony of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, according to reported details.

The prime minister is scheduled to begin a two-country visit on July 3, with Iran as the first destination. He is expected to be accompanied by a high-level delegation, while Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is also likely to join the visit.

During their stay in Iran, Bilawal is expected to hold meetings with the Iranian president and other senior government officials to discuss matters of mutual interest.

Following the Iran visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to travel to Türkiye on July 4 for a bilateral meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

According to reports, the funeral ceremony is expected to take place in Tehran on July 6, with large gatherings anticipated across the city. Authorities are making arrangements to facilitate attendees, while official ceremonies are also expected to be held in Tehran, Qom, and Mashhad.

A significant number of people from across Iran and other countries are expected to attend the ceremony.

Separately, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is also expected to visit Gilgit-Baltistan after returning from Iran to attend the oath-taking ceremony of the region’s chief minister.
