Second Monsoon Rain Spell Expected Across Pakistan, Met Office Warns

July 6, 2026: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast a second spell of monsoon rains across several parts of the country as moist air currents continue to enter Pakistan from both the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal.

According to the weather advisory, a westerly wave is also expected to approach the upper parts of the country within the next 12 hours, further intensifying weather activity in multiple regions.

Weather System Developing Over the Country

The Met Office stated that:

  • Moist currents from the Arabian Sea are affecting northern areas
  • Moisture from the Bay of Bengal is expected to enter northeastern regions
